Small mobiles seem to have gone out of design. Many in the past, before the iPhone, companies were going down over themselves to miniaturise their models. Now though, smartphones on the market are all the anger, and with that comes the need for ever bigger displays.
The The Ericsson Xperia Ray money that tendency a little. It's a candybar cellphone, very much in the design of old models from The Ericsson, like the K800i. Of course, there's no key pad nowadays and the screen is enormous, with a far greater solution that we considered of in function cellphone days.
But what is eye-catching about the Ray is its capability to slide into a jean pocket and be overlooked about. It's difficult, well-built and tells us of the wonderful age of Ericsson mobiles. Old followers might keep in mind companies the T10 and T28. Those were wonderful mobiles, which were training management when they were available more than 10 in the past.
Design
While we don't want to pigeon-hole anyone, it's apparent that the Xperia Ray will attract people who are new to smartphones on the market. That's a advantage though, and The Ericsson has really believed about its visitors and has developed the cellphone to attract those people.
For example, there are several colors available, from a bog-standard dark-colored, to a delightful wine kind of colour, which is large we got as a assessment example. We liked this, it's a bit different and the cellphone is very good-looking consequently.
There are three links on the top side area. Two are soft-keys for back and the situation susceptible list handle. The third is a components house key, which is placed between the other two handles. This structure fails a little from the standard Android mobile phone kind, but we like it, and it will work well. The house key is encased by a notice light-weight too, that lights up natural or red, to keep you modified as to what the cellphone position is. For standard use though, it just lights up with a standard backlight blue/white color. The house key can also be used to get the cellphone up, as can the power switch, which is placed at the top of the mobile, next to the earphone port.
The only real design drawback we could find, beginning on, was that the screen is a little increased, and not remove with the case. This was a fear, because we thouhgt we'd get our hands and fingers on it, and appreciate a less than substance touchscreen technology practical knowledge. We need not have anxious though, we never observed it when we actually commenced using the cellphone.
